The BBC are reporting (“IT Problems at the Revenue“) that there are problems with the HMRC computer system which might mean people end up paying more tax than they should. Apparently anonymous staff have reported “problems with the system” which might mean if it isn’t correct by April, many people could suffer from over-taxing.
The errors are apparently rumoured to effect everyone, including businesses. So pay attention to your tax codes and make sure you stay on top of what you’re paying!
